This presentation examines the successful implementation of precast energy piles at the Centrum Pile factory in Kollanda, developed in collaboration with EnergyMachines. The project demonstrates the potential of energy piles as an integrated geothermal solution, providing heating, cooling, and hot water year-round without reliance on external energy sources. Through a detailed analysis of system performance, operational efficiencies, and key technical insightsinsights, this presentation will explore the broader implications of energy piles for sustainable...
555 Greenwich NYC – An Operational Building Using Energy Foundations – A Performance Update

Tony Amis
Endurant Energy (Formerly GI
Energy)
Completed in the fall of 2023, 555 Greenwich is a fully electric building located in the heart of Manhattan, NYC. The building's heating and cooling is provided through innovative energy foundations. As part of the system, temperature and strain gauges were embedded in three foundation piles—two equipped with geothermal loops and one without—to monitor performance. This instrumentation is integrated into the automated building management system, which utilizes the foundations s a thermal battery. This presentation outlines...
