Ever wondered what climate change means for your role? This guide brings together best practices, initiatives, and case studies from around the world. With specialist sections for both designers and contractors, it shows how to make our projects and companies more resilient to a changing climate.

This talk is structured around the four core sections of the new EFFC/DFI sustainability guide no. 3: climate adaptation & resilience:

  1. What – What is climate adaptation and resilience? What impacts do geotechnical companies have on this goal?
  2. Why – Why does climate change matter to geotechnical companies? Why do geotechnical companies and designs need to become more resilient?
  3. How – How can geotechnical companies adapt and become more resilient to a changing climate? Here, we divide this into how geotechnical designers and geotechnical contractors can each respond to climate change.
  4. Measure –  What metrics can geotechnical companies and projects use to measure their progress and set targets?
