Connect with Industry Leaders and Expand Your Knowledge

At the forefront of geotechnical innovation, rigid inclusions have been transforming the ground improvement industry for years. Thousands of structures throughout the United States are supported on RIs; however, there currently exists no industry-wide standard for the selection, design, and verification of RIs.

The goal of the Rigid Inclusion Summits is to gather designers, builders, and owners in one place to discuss the standard of practice for the design and construction of rigid inclusions.

This is a unique series of seminars designed to foster collaboration and drive forward the standard of practice. The invited speakers have years of experience in the ground improvement industry and have been involved in DFI and/or ASCE efforts to develop guidance documents for the design, installation, and development of specifications for rigid inclusions.

  • Explore how RIs are being used today, their effectiveness and limitations
  • Dive deep in the unique aspects of RI design, with a focus on load distribution and how RIs differ from other ground improvement technologies
  • Participate in open discussions and knowledge-sharing opportunities that will shape the future of rigid inclusions as a ground improvement technology
