Carbon Calculator Training Session

DFI of India Sustainability Committee is organizing a webinar for this essential training on the EFFC-DFI Carbon Calculator. It is an Excel-based tool developed to facilitate standardized and transparent carbon footprint assessments across geotechnical engineering solutions. Designed within a “cradle to gate” system boundary, the calculator quantifies greenhouse gas emissions from key construction stages including raw material extraction, manufacturing, transportation, on-site energy use, and waste disposal. It excludes emissions from the operational and end-of-life phases of structures. Aligned with internationally recognized carbon reporting standards such as ISO 14047, the GHG Protocol and PAS 2050, this tool enables consistent benchmarking and supports informed decision-making for sustainable construction practices within the geotechnical sector.
